How do I download the shopkick app?
The shopkick application is available for the iPhone and Android phones. If you have an iPhone, search for the word "shopkick" in the App Store or click here. If you have an Android phone, search for the word "shopkick" in the Android Market or follow the download instructions located here.
How do I share this app with a friend and get rewards for it?
There are several ways to share: 1) Tap on your profile in shopkick ("Me" or your first name"), then on Invite Friends. 2) Or tap on the "wheels" icon in the top left corner of your shopkick app, then choose the first option "Invite Friends". 3) Good 'ol fashioned word of mouth – tell all your friends to search for "shopkick" in either the iPhone App Store or the Android Market. Or to learn more, visit www.shopkick.com. 4) Connect to Facebook in the shopkick app. That allows you to share your activity with friends and let them see how cool shopkick is.

Walk-in rewards

How come I can get kicks for walking into some stores, but not others? How do I know which stores have walk-in rewards?
Look at the “Nearby” screen, and find those stores that have a small green bubble with a large kicks number (e.g. 60,75 or 100 kicks) right next to the larger green bubble (the large one has a small kicks number in it, like 1 or 2, or no number at all). The ones with 60, 75 or 100, or a large number like that, all have walk-in rewards. We have not yet rolled out kicks to all stores, but we’re adding new stores every month. Once you are inside a store that offers walk-in rewards, just enter the store, open the app in the entrance area, and wait for a few seconds, until the big green welcome bubble pops up in the shopkick app.
I earned 100 kicks for walking into a store last time, but today I only earned 75. Why?
From time to time, the number of kicks you can earn may change. Sometimes you’ll be able to earn a lot more kicks than normal – keep checking the app everyday to see how many kicks are available that day.
How come I don’t earn kicks every time I walk into a store?
We have limits on the number of times you can earn kicks for walking into a particular store or chain – you may have reached that limit. Check the app daily to see what is available.
How do I refresh the store list?
Simply pull down the Nearby screen or the Faves screen with your finger and it will refresh.
A store I visit isn’t on the store list, what can I do?
Try pulling down the screen to refresh – occasionally the GPS coordinates are dated and have you located in the wrong place. You might have to go outside to get a GPS signal.

Offers

I want to use an offer, but it says I have to verify my phone number - what do I do?
To verify your phone number, just tap on “Account Settings” under the “More” tab. From there, tap on “verify my phone number.” You will receive a text message with a code and a link – you can verify by entering in your code or by tapping on the link.

I just got an offer! Now how do I redeem it?
Simply click the “Use it” button and the offer will be ready to use. When you are ready to purchase, click the “Checkout” button and the phone will be ready to display a special code to the cashier.
@Best Buy:
I just got a Best Buy offer! Now how do I redeem it?
Tell the cashier at Best Buy that you are a shopkick user and give them your cell phone number, and have the cashier type in your cell phone number into the RZ/SK number entry field on their cash register. Any applicable shopkick discount will automatically and magically appear on your receipt. :)
@Macy’s:
I just got a Macy’s offer! Now how do I redeem it?
Simply head to checkout with the item(s) in question and make sure you receive the displayed sale price or discount. If you do not receive the sale price or discount, show the cashier the Macy’s offer on your phone to confirm.
@Target:
I just got a Target offer! Now how do I redeem it?
Simply select the offer you want to redeem in the app, tell the cashier at Target that you are a shopkick user and have the cashier scan the mobile barcode directly from your phone display with their scanner. If Target’s scanner can’t read the barcode, have the cashier type in the code manually into their cash register. Any applicable shopkick discount will automatically and magically appear on your receipt. :)
My offer isn’t being accepted! What do I do?
If the code does not work at check out, please double check with the store employee and make sure the proper code is being used. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, please tap the back button and see if you can click the “Use it” button again. If the same code is displaying or you cannot tap the back button, please contact feedback@shopkick.com ffrom inside the app so we can identify your phone and help you resolve the situation.

Scanning

How do I scan a product?
Our scan screen will show you products you can scan for kicks. To scan an item, check in to the store with the item and then tap on it. Your phone will switch to camera mode and you should hold it in front of the barcode of the product. After a few seconds, the barcode should be recognized.
I just scanned one of the products, but the app told me the scan was unsuccessful. Why?
Sometimes the product may not be recognized by our app, which could be causing the problem. You should try scanning it again, and if after several tries it is still unsuccessful, you may want to try scanning a different product to receive kicks instead.
How come I don’t collect kicks every time I scan an eligible product?
There is a limit to how many times you can scan each product, which you may have reached. Try again, and if it still doesn’t work, then you may want to wait until tomorrow to continue scanning to earn kicks.

Rewards

How do I redeem my kicks for rewards?
Tap on the “Rewards” tab to get started. On the Rewards screen you’ll see rewards you can purchase- they are highlighted in green. Just tap on the reward you want and select “Redeem”. Your reward will then appear in the “Me” tab (or the tab with your name).
What kind of rewards can I exchange my kicks for?
You can redeem kicks for many different rewards! You can get restaurant vouchers, iTunes gift cards, Best Buy/Target/Macy’s/Sports Authority/American Eagle gift gift cards, movie tickets, or even a cruise around the world (if you are the greatest shopper in history :). You can also donate them to your favorite cause – if you feel like making the world a better place by shopping. More reward are coming up all the time, and if you notice something great is missing, let us know!

Bonuses (for iPhone only)

Where can I find bonuses?
Bonuses are scattered across different stores. Check in often to collect bonuses!
I have a bonus, but it says I need 3 of a kind to complete the set – what does that mean?
You’ll need to collect several bonus pieces of a set to unlock the bonus. Think of each piece as a part of a puzzle, once you have all of the pieces, you’ll have the complete picture.
I completed a set - now what?
Congrats! Your bonus will now appear in the your profile under the “Me” tab. Check out how to redeem it by tapping on it.
