Evolving from a retail-only offering at our inception, today we are proud to be a truly omnichannel solution, reaching consumers from couch to checkout in a relevant and engaging way.

During the COVID-19 crisis, we’ve doubled down on our ability to stay “always on” for our users by investing in our Discover section with high-quality and useful content, expanding our mobile commerce selections, adding new gift card choices, and including oodles of instant kick surprises to uncover throughout the app. Our Discover section keeps users informed not only about how to earn rewards, but also on product recommendations, trends, and relevant tips such as recipes, gardening tips, DIY masks, etc. 

Our social media community is stronger than ever, with hundreds of thousands engaging with our posts, tuning in each week for our live streams and joining our sweepstakes and contests. We’re always connected, building upon our relationships with our users, and guiding them as they navigate purchase decisions during these trying times. 

We’ve expanded our mobile shopping footprint, now offering kicks for purchasing at 65 retailers, including new additions Uber Eats, Cost Plus World Market, Harry & David, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Tilly’s, and Under Armour. This has been hugely attractive for users, with Uber Eats sales jumping 3x in recent weeks. With stay at home orders in place, we are continuing to help consumers earn rewards for shopping without leaving home. This all comes full circle with new gift card redemption options helping those at home stay entertained, including Xbox, Spotify, SiriusXM and more.  

All of this ultimately creates more ways for our brand partners to reach consumers at home, influencing their purchase decisions now and in the future. Shopkick will always be an effective tool for driving store traffic and product engagement at shelf, but our reach extends far beyond brick and mortar.

Dima Volovik is the EVP of Product and Engineering at Trax Retail — Shopkick.

Dima Volovik is the accomplished product and engineering leader who led teams to deliver innovative and commercially successful e-commerce products, marketplaces, and enterprise solutions for Amazon, Comcast, Fandango, and Universal Music. Before joining Trax, Dima was the Director at Amazon, where he led product development and Engineering for Amazon Appstore and Amazon Prime Video, CTO at Fandango, and Paciolan, head of technology at Golf Channel/Golf Now, and Global VP of Direct to Consumer Technology at Universal Music Group. Dima’s expertise includes developing consumer products, marketplaces, and enterprise solutions.

Dima grew up in Baku, Azerbaijan, where he received his MS in Electrical Engineering from Azerbaijan Oil Academy, and he currently resides in Los Angeles, California, with his family.
